Breakfast and Burger Express in Kalkaska

Establishment was small and cozy. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was very good. The only minor downfalls were the little longer than expected wait for our 2 meals and the seats of the booths are falling apart. Overall, good food, good service, good prices. I would definitely recommend.

Great food, great service (for the most part...) and at a decent price. Their "boom boom" sauce was actually pretty good! The menu was actually a lot larger than I expected too. Took off a star as the place was a little rough. Seats were cracked and the place just needed some things fixed/replaced. Overall a great place and I'd go back again for sure.

First of all the dishes here are made from scratch. You can taste the quality in the food. The waitstaff has always been friendly. It has a sort of friendly home town feel to it. While the place is small it packs quite the impression with interactions and rich taste in food. We try to hit this place everytime we visit Kalkaska. Try the country stacker..you will not be disappointed!

Just had a great patty melt and sweet potato fries! Great service too! My husband had a mushroom and Swiss burger with their homemade chips! Good food! Fast!😋

Waitress not real friendly but waited well. Food was just about 10 degrees from cold.... like cook dishes up biscuits and gravy and let sit while making my eggs. Prices would be fair if my meal was hot. Husband said his food was great but a little cool. Will we go back? Probably not. :(

This place is amazing. The best biscuits and gravy I've had at a restaurant in years it's not the super peppery kind it's like the delicious stuff grandmas make.

We came in hungryyyy after a day out looking at the beautiful colors, 10 minutes before close! Mary told us it was just fine and welcomed us in! Everyone I was with ordered burgers, which they all raved about. I had an awesome ruben. The onion rings were awesome with their boom boom sauce. Mary was a delight and made sure we were taken care of exceptionally!

The place has good breakfast options. Staff are friendly. They serve breakfast and lunch all hours, while open from 6am to 3pm. The only thing that I'd caution is going during a busy time as limited seating and staff might have you waiting a bit.

This place has amazing burgers. Totally worth the trip to the middle of nowhere. Definitely take the belly buster challenge!

Got an omelette and it was amazing. It was overflowing and tasted great. Awesome service for a neat little town.

Great burgers and fries. Heather was very friendly and a great waitress. We paid with a MasterCard gift card and don’t know if it covered the $5 tip I left. If no please tell me and I’ll stop back by next time we’re in Kalkaska. We never stiff our waitress ever. Thanks and let me know.

Never a disappointment at B & B. Pretty good breakfast though the coffee isn't the best, but the burgers are splendid. Their olive burger is the best I've ever had. It's a small building and its dated, but its par for the course in the small town of Kalkaska. Delicious, reasonably priced food and a cheerful waitstaff are always offered here, as well as wonderful memories made in the great Michigan north. Will visit every time we go to TC or the island!

Quaint little diner with fantastic staff. Our waitress was awesome and did very well. The food was very good. Had a breakfast skillet. Not burnt cooked perfectly!!

Glad we stopped for breakfast! Absolutely delicious food! I've had a hankering for good hash browns for months and couldn't find exactly what I was searching for- until today. And they're homemade cinnamon toast, well, I think an extra order to go in my to go box! It was clean your plate good and I can't wait to eat my leftovers. Will definitely go back when I'm in the area again. Mary was our waitress and she gave prompt service!

Just had breakfast here. I had the station skillet a. I have to say wow. I had not planned on eating the whole thing because there was so much, but it was so delicious I could not stop myself. The service was fantastic, warm and friendly, everything you would want in a small town diner. The price was right, and I look forward to going back. My husband had the corn beef hash and eggs, and the same goes. He hadn't planned on eating all of it, but he just couldn't stop. Bravo.

OMG, the best breakfast I had all week. I had the#3. Pancakes, eggs and bacon. Hot coffee. Nice big fluffy pancakes with warm sticky syrup 😋. Cute railroad decor simply done. Quick and friendly staff.

Waitress was phenomenal. The restaurant had a good atmosphere and was mostly clean. We had dishes that had stains and crusties. They tried to pass it off as just stains. But you can't scrape a stain off, just sayin'. One of us ordered chocolate milk that came to the table tasting expired. So, just test everything before you dig in. Ending on a positive, they have some of the BEST biscuits and gravy (Southern style) I have ever had!

Came in here for breakfast, and I got the pancakes with some ham, eggs and toast. For a roadside diner, I'm very impressed. The pancakes were some of the best I've had, and the rest was good too. They seem a bit understaffed, though. I got in just as they opened to find a single waitress serving a full house. Despite that, the service was just fine. I definitely need to stop in here for lunch, some time.

Good food. Just hard to watch people who came in after you, get served before you. But I've only been here twice so this review only reflects those 2 visits. I'll be back

It was a really really good breakfast. We normally research places to eat before hand but this was on the fly. I got the Mexican skillet with rye toast. Their bread is homemade. The wife got sourdough and love it. I definitely want to go back and try the burgers. So next time I'm in the area this is gonna be a lunchtime place to eat.
